Why 48V Controllers Matter
The Controller Decides Whether Your 48V Motor Performs Or Just Runs.
A brushless DC motor at 48V can deliver serious torque and speed, but only if the controller matches. The BLD6010 BLDC motor driver supports open-loop and Hall closed-loop operation, handles overcurrent, overvoltage and short-circuit protection internally, and accepts analog, PWM and pulse-frequency speed commands. For engineers designing AGV traction, heavy conveyor drives or e-mobility systems, this controller turns a motor into a controllable industrial actuator.

Typical Applications
Where 48V BLDC Motor Controllers Are Used
01
AGV and AMR traction systems
Closed-loop speed control and RS485 communication let the controller integrate directly with AGV navigation and dispatch systems for precise traction output.
02
Heavy conveyor drive modules
Sustained load on conveyor lines demands overcurrent protection and stable speed regulation. The BLD6010 handles both while supporting external analog speed input.
03
Automated transport equipment
Material handling vehicles and automated carts use 48V brushless DC motor controllers for reliable, maintenance-free drive with Hall sensor feedback.
04
Solar tracking systems
Low-speed, high-reliability positioning where PWM and pulse-frequency control modes provide the precision required for angular adjustment.

How It Works
How A 48V BLDC Motor Controller Works
A 48V BLDC motor controller converts the 48V DC bus into a three-phase variable-frequency output for a brushless DC motor. The signal path is straightforward:
DC bus filtering: Bulk electrolytic capacitors stabilize the 48V input and absorb regenerative current returned by the motor during deceleration.
Six-MOSFET three-phase inverter: Three half-bridges (six high-current MOSFETs) sequentially energize motor phases U, V and W. At 48V, MOSFETs rated 100V or 150V provide adequate transient headroom.
Hall-sensor commutation: Three Hall sensors inside the motor read rotor position and feed the MCU. The MCU determines which phase pair to energize next, producing trapezoidal drive waveforms.
Closed-loop PID: The same Hall pulses provide rotor speed. A PID controller compares actual speed against the setpoint (analog, PWM or RS485 command) and adjusts duty cycle every cycle.
Protection layer: Overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage and short-circuit detection triggers gate shutoff within microseconds.

1000W Variant
48V 1000W BLDC Motor Controller
For 48V brushless DC motors rated 1000W, the BLD6010 delivers continuous current up to 25A at 48V — sufficient for the 120BL and 104BL 1000W motor frames, AGV traction modules and 1kW conveyor drives. The 0–20000 RPM regulation range covers both direct-drive and geared configurations.
Continuous current: ~25A at 48V (≈1000W output)
Compatible motors: 120BL 1000W, 104BL 1000W
Motor torque: 3.18 Nm at 3000 RPM
Closed-loop holds setpoint within ±1% under variable load
50A overcurrent threshold leaves headroom for startup inrush
500W Variant
48V 500W BLDC Motor Controller
For 500W 48V BLDC motors, the same BLD6010 controller runs underrated — extending MOSFET life and improving thermal margin. Ideal for compact AGV wheels, light conveyor sections, solar trackers and washdown-environment pumps where the 500W brushless DC motor controller must operate reliably for years without active cooling.
Continuous current: ~12A at 48V (≈500W output)
Natural air cooling — no fan required
IP21 enclosure suitable for cabinet-mount installation
0–5V analog or 0–100% PWM speed input options
Pairs with smaller 104BL and 86BL motor frames

What 48V motors can this controller drive? The BLD6010 works with 48V brushless DC motors from 750W to 2000W, including the 120BL and 104BL series. It supports 2, 4 and 5 pole pair motors and can be supplied as a pre-tested motor-controller kit for faster integration.
Does the 48V controller support closed-loop speed control? Yes. The BLD6010 operates in both open-loop and Hall velocity closed-loop modes. Closed-loop mode uses Hall sensor feedback to maintain target speed under variable load, which is essential for AGV, conveyor and automated transport applications.
Can I get motor and controller as a tested set? Yes. Shenghe Motor supplies matched motor-controller kits where the BLDC motor driver is configured, wired and tested with the specific motor before shipment. This eliminates parameter mismatch and shortens commissioning.
Do you provide a 48V BLDC motor controller circuit diagram? Yes. The wiring diagram, gate-driver schematic and Hall-sensor connection diagram are included in the pairing guide PDF. Custom firmware and proprietary protocols are available for OEM volumes.
