Engineered For High Torque, Low Speed And Self-Locking
A worm gear electric motor converts high-speed motor rotation into slow, powerful output through a single-stage worm and worm-wheel mechanism. The worm gear and motor combination inherently produces right-angle shaft orientation, making it ideal for space-constrained installations where an inline gear train will not fit. At reduction ratios above approximately 30:1, the worm gear becomes self-locking — the output shaft cannot be back-driven by the load, eliminating the need for an external brake in lifting, clamping and gate applications. Shenghe's RV turbo-worm reducer series uses precision-ground worm shafts and bronze worm wheels inside a die-cast aluminum alloy housing, balancing thermal dissipation with structural rigidity across the full ratio range.
- Self-locking at high ratios — no external brake needed for holding loads
- Right-angle output fits tight installation envelopes
- Single-stage reduction up to 100:1 keeps the drivetrain compact
- Aluminum alloy housing for lightweight strength and heat dissipation
